The process is straightforward:
- A buyer pays to be added as an authorized user on your card
- You add them online in about 10 minutes
- Their credit report picks up your card’s history and credit limit
- After roughly 90 days, you remove them and the transaction is complete
You keep your card. You keep your points. You just collect a payment for something your card was already doing: sitting there with a good history attached to it.
This is legal under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act of 1974. About 33% of Americans already have family members added to their accounts as authorized users.

- Age: A 10-year-old card pays significantly more than a 2-year-old card

A card that is 5+ years old with a $15,000+ limit can earn $100 to $150+ per authorized user slot. Newer cards with smaller limits typically fall in the $40 to $80 range.
